Discere is an opportunity for young single Catholic men and women (18–35 years) to intentionally pause and ask the question "where is God calling me?" in a peaceful, supportive and safe environment.
There will be time for prayer, reflection and group sharing, as well as opportunities to hear from priests, religious and married spouses about their discernment journeys.
The team from Vocation Brisbane will also provide information about the different Catholic vocations (Ordained, Religious/Consecrated, Single & Married Life), plus help shed light on what 'discernment' actually means and give practical tips about how to discern in your every day life.

Quo Vadis is a retreat day for women aged 18-35 who discern their vocation to hear from those already joyfully living a religious life. Morning tea and lunch are included, and the day will finish with Mass together.

The annual Quo Vadis Weekend is for men between the age of 18-35 to learn more about the priesthood in an environment that will equip and inspire a better understanding of your personal calling.
Experience what it's like to study, pray, discern and live at the Holy Spirit Seminary through dynamic talks, small group discussions, prayer experiences through the Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, personal prayer and a guided retreat. Spend quality time with those on the same journey of discernment around good food, conversation and sporting activities.

The original event was a launch of our discernment groups, but we wanted to keep that sense of “launching” with the rescheduled event. Instead of launching into the year, this is a perfect opportunity for us to launch into the profound reason for our faith – entering into the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. This is the heart of each vocation - being a committed and faithful follower of Jesus. There will also be walking through the shrine, a quiet space for prayer and celebrating the Eucharist together.
This will be the Sunday before Palm Sunday and our entrance into Holy Week. We will take this opportunity to run a mini-retreat at the beautiful Marian Valley (Brisbane Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady Help of Christians)

This year Vocation Brisbane is taking to the road to promote Vocations throughout the diocese, in a progressive style event. V9 Holy Hour; a journey of good news! Beginning at the Cathedral on Sunday 6th June (Corpus Christi) right through to Sunday 1st August.
The format is simple and invigorating; we are looking to capture the attention of young people in your local community. Music, adoration, and sharing, followed by a supper provided by Vocation Brisbane. This event will build on the theme of our 2021 Vocare magazine 'Good News'.
