Leaven Hour

Leaven Hour

We believe in a faithful God, who does hear our prayers. And every time we have prayed as an Archdiocese for vocations we have seen young people step up to the call.

Join us as we pray for the intention of vocations on the fourth Friday of each month through Mass and Adoration in St Stephen’s Chapel (next to the Cathedral). Mass starts at 5:10pm and is followed by Adoration and Benediction (finishing at 6pm).

Quo Vadis Weekend

Quo Vadis Weekend

Quo Vadis weekends are a discernment program designed to depth the participants understanding of priesthood, with input from several guest presenters. Held at the Holy Spirt Seminary, the participants get an insight into seminary life and hear the discernment stories of current seminarians. The weekends are designed to help young men better understand the priesthood and better understand their own calling. Contact the office to register for the next weekend.

Gratia

Vocation Brisbane Office (map)

Gratia, the Latin word for ‘grace’, is the new monthly discernment group for women.

Gratia provides a platform for young women to explore their call with others on the same journey of discovering God's dream for their lives. Often the journey of discernment can be confusing and one doesn’t know where to turn. Yet Gratia provides an opportunity for young women to listen to fellow pilgrims on the journey, receiving encouragement and inspiration in the search to be available to God’s call.

We continue to pray for the grace to be open to however God desires to use us in His service.
