Since the beginning of the Archdiocese over 150 years ago, someone has been responsible for the promotion of vocations within the Archdiocese. Now, the Vocations Brisbane team carries on that important work through the promotion of priesthood (particularly Diocesan priesthood within the Archdiocese of Brisbane), the generation of vocations culture (especially of religious life, single life and married life) throughout the Archdiocese, and the resourcing and mentoring of young people as they develop their sense of God’s call on their lives.

This work sees our team engaging with (but not limited to) the parish and school communities of the Archdiocese; priests, religious and lay leader, other ministries and agencies; and local and national youth events.

Whether it’s through presentations, mentoring, the development of resources or networking; it’s our hope to increase vocations to the priesthood within the Archdiocese of Brisbane, to develop a culture within the Archdiocese of vocations awareness; and to foster among young people a sense of calling, especially developing their ability to respond to that call.

We feel called to talk about vocation in a variety of different ways. We do this by creating spaces for young adults to gather and discuss life, creating resources that can promote vocation far and wide and visiting schools and parishes to share our passion for the beauty of God's individual call on your life.
